DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
“River William” is a delicate and sensitive collection that trys to add freshness and sophistication to the feminine closet. With the aim of respecting the feminine body and it´s natural shapes, the collection is based on a simple and clean pattern. It contains three garments where colour and treatment of the fabric are the main characters. The techniques used are: devore and handpainting.
Based on the landscapes of the paintings of artists Fredric Edwin Church, Martin Johnson Head and other contemporary painters. Their work depicted exotic landscapes in big formats, with influences of Romanticism. Fredric Edwin Church inspired this collection the most. The opposite landscapes he painted, such as the jungles in Nicaragua or the icebergs in the North Pole, are expressed into fabrics, silhouettes and optical effects.
