Conservare - can Beauty be conserved?

DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

There is Beauty. And the imagination of Beauty which is always in transition. The developed Knitweardresses are a the result of re-arranging, modifying and recyling of clothing. An attempt to translate old-garments into the current Zeitgeist-of-fashion while protecting its existing character , to maintain it, to make it visible.

INSPIRATION

The aesthetics of something being created out of one cast really affected my thoughts . There is this purness of a an antiques relief or an old marble sculpture. It seems to me that its beauty is resistant to time. I used this impression to affect my designs.

MATERIALS USED

The collection combines recycled and new material. I worked with 2nd hand knitwear cardigans, jackets and neopren pieces collected on the flea market. I also added different kinds of cotten jerseys mostly in pastel tones. Some outfits of the collection have additional latex accessories.
