Crack and Light

DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

My work focuses on creating fine textiles with bonding, printing or laser-cutting and utilizing them in simple forms the way minimalists do. In my collection, "Crack and Light", details like cracking or circle and triangle are emphasized in simple garments, which enable wearer to fit in modern and quiet palaces.

INSPIRATION

Inspiration sources are mainly modern architectures or sculptures like ones of James Turrell, Luis Barragan, or Anish Kapoor. In addition to these artificial things, natural cracks of stone, rock, or sky through which sunlight get in influences this collection.

MATERIALS USED

Digital printed fabrics with neoprene bonded are mainly used and almost all materials are manmade not to be burnt by laser-cut. Reflective and foil are used for details.
